One out of every five women in reproductive age is suffering from PCOS. Polycystic ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) prevalence is almost 18%. In Pakistan, 28.5% in USA, 20>% in Europe, 0.48% in Russia.
PCOS is an endocrine disorder where excess of male hormones (Androgen) is released in a body, and this is the cause of women infertility.
The main symptoms of Polycystic ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) are acne, facial hair growth, male pattern baldness, weight gain, irregular periods (cycle of 40-60 days), inability to conceive, acanthosis nigricans (dark velvety patches on the skin of the neck, elbows and inner thighs). Boost fertility in Patients Suffering from Polycystic ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)

1. Ovulation Induction
During ovulation induction, symptomatic Homeopathic (individual) medicines are used to mature and release the eggs, and simultaneously, advise to the patient for ultrasound to monitor the follicle (which holds the egg) and its rupture. After the follicle has ruptured, doctor should advise to the patient to have natural intercourse for two to three days.

2. IUI or Intrauterine insemination
In this method doctor takes a sperm sample from husband, using ultrasound to determine the size of the egg; this husband’s semen (washed sample) will be transferred into the wife’s uterus.
After two weeks a urine pregnancy test is performed to confirm the pregnancy. In my clinic the success rate of IUI is between 80-95% per IUI performance.
3. IVF or In Vitro Fertilization
In this process, sperm and eggs are fertilized outside the body to form an embryo. After that, the embryos are implanted in the uterus. The success rate in this procedure is between 40 and 55 % per IVF cycle.
Due to the possibility of ovarian hyper stimulation (abdominal discomfort, vomiting, and fluid collection in the abdomen), a fresh transfer is not possible in PCO patients, so the embryos are frozen.

4. Lifestyle and Diet Modification for Suffering from PCOS

Calcarea Carbonic or Ova Tosta
Sulpher should not be advises with/after Calcara carbonic. Impaired nutrition. Increased local and general perspiration, swelling of glands, scrofulous and rachitic conditions. Incipient phthisis. Natrium Muriaticum
Menses irregular; usually profuse. Vaginal dryness. Leucorrhea acrid, watery. Bearing-down pains; worse in morning. Prolapsus uteri, with cutting in urethra. Ineffectual labor-pains. Skin dry and hot; swollen, sensitive; burns scarlet, smooth. Eruption like scarlatina, suddenly spreading. Erythema; pustules on face. Glands swollen, tender, red. Boils. Acne rosacea. Suppurative wounds. Alternate redness and paleness of the skin. Indurations after inflammations. Erysipelas.
Rhus Toxicodendron
Swelling, with intense itching of vulva. Pelvic articulations stiff when beginning to move. Menses early, profuse, and prolonged, acrid. Shooting pains upwards in vagina. Skin – red, swollen; itching intense. Vesicles, herpes; urticaria; pemphigus; erysipelas; vesicular suppurative forms. Glands swollen. Cellulitis. Burning eczematous eruptions with tendency to scale formation.
Lycopodium Clavatum
Menses too late; last too long, too profuse. Vagina dry. Coition painful. Right ovarian pain. Varicose veins of pudenda. Leucorrhea, acrid, with burning in vagina. Discharge of blood from genitals during stool. Skin ulcerates. Abscesses beneath skin; worse warm applications. Hives; worse, warmth. Violent itching; fissured eruptions. Acne. Chronic eczema associated with urinary, gastric and hepatic disorders, bleeds easily. Skin thick and indurated. Varicose veins, naevi, erectile tumors. Brown spots, freckles on face/nose. Dry, shrunken, especially palms; hair becomes prematurely gray. Dropsies. Offensive secretions; viscid and offensive perspiration, especially of feet and axilla. Psoriasis.
Silicia Tera
A milky acrid leucorrhea, during urination. Itching of vulva and vagina; very sensitive. Discharge of blood between menstrual periods. Increased menses, with paroxysms of icy coldness over whole body. Nipples very sore; ulcerated easily; drawn in. Fistulous ulcers of breast. Abscess of labia. Discharge of blood from vagina every time child is nursed. Vaginal cysts and hard lumps in breast.
Conium Maculate
Dysmenorrhea, with drawing-down thighs. Mammae lax and shrunken, hard, painful to touch. Stitches in nipples. Wants to press breast hard with hand. Menses delayed and scanty, parts sensitive. Breasts enlarge and become painful before and during menses. Rash before menses. Itching around pudenda. Unready conception. Induration of os and cervix. Ovaritis; ovary enlarged, indurated; lancinating pain. Ill effects of repressed sexual desire or suppressed menses, or from excessive indulgence. Leucorrhea after micturition.
Axillary glands pain, with numb feeling down arm. Induration after contusions. Pale skin, with papular eruption; yellow fingernails. Glands enlarged and indurated, also mesenteric. Flying stitches through the glands. Tumors, piercing pains; worse, at night. Chronic ulcers with fetid discharge. Sweat as soon as one sleeps, or even when closing eyes. Night and morning sweat, with offensive odor, and smarting in skin.
Pulsatilla Pratensis
Amenorrhea. Suppressed menses from wet feet, nervous debility, or chlorosis. Tardy menses. Too late, scanty, thick, dark, clotted, changeable, intermittent. Chilliness, nausea, downward pressure, painful, flow intermits. Leucorrhea acrid, burning, creamy. Pain in back; tired feeling. Diarrhea during or after menses. Urticaria, after rich food, with diarrhea, from delayed menses, worse undressing. Measles. Acne at puberty. Varicose veins.
Sulpher
Sulpher should not be advises with/after Calcara carbonic. Pudenda itches. Vagina burns. Much offensive perspiration. Menses too late, short, scanty, and difficult; thick, black, acrid, making parts sore. Menses preceded by headache or suddenly stopped. Leucorrhea, burning, excoriating. Nipples cracked, smart and burn. Skin dry, scaly, unhealthy; every little injury suppurates. Freckles. Itching, burning; worse scratching and washing. Pimply eruption, pustules, rhagades, hangnails. 
Sepia officinalis
Pelvic organs relaxed. Bearing-down sensation as if everything would escape through vulva, must cross limbs to prevent protrusion or press against vulva. Leucorrhea yellow, greenish; with much itching. Menses Too late and scanty, irregular; early and profuse; sharp clutching pains. Violent stitches upward in the vagina, from uterus to umbilicus. Prolapse of uterus and vagina. Morning sickness. Vagina painful, especially on coition. Herpes circinate in isolated spots. Itching; not relieved by scratching; worse in bends of elbows and knees. Chloasma; herpetic eruption on lips, about mouth and nose. Ringworm-like eruption every spring. Urticaria on going in open air; better in warm room. Hyperidrosis and bromhidrosis. Sweat on feet, worse on toes, intolerable odor. Lentigo in young women. Ichthyosis with offensive odor of skin.
Lachesis Mutus
Climacteric troubles, palpitation, flashes of heat, hemorrhages, vertex headache, fainting spells. Menses too short, too feeble; pains all relieved by the flow. Left ovary very painful and swollen, indurated. Mammae inflamed, bluish. Coccyx and sacrum pain, especially on rising from sitting posture. Acts especially well at beginning and close of menstruation. Hot perspiration, bluish, purplish appearance. Boils, carbuncles, ulcers, with bluish, purple surroundings. Dark blisters. Bed-sores, with black edges. Blue-black swellings. Pyemia; dissecting wounds. Purpura, with intense prostration. Senile erysipelas. Wens. Cellulitis. Varicose ulcers.
Graphite
Menses too late, with constipation; pale and scanty, with tearing pain in epigastrium, and itching before. Hoarseness, coryza, cough, sweats and morning sickness during menstruation. Leucorrhea, pale, thin, profuse, white, excoriating, with great weakness in back. Mammae swollen and hard. Induration of ovaries and uterus and mammae. Nipples sore, cracked, and blistered. Decided aversion to coitus.
Skin: Rough, hard, persistent dryness of portions of skin unaffected by eczema. Early stage of keloid and fibroma. Pimples and acne. Eruptions, oozing out a sticky exudation.
Berberis Vulgaris
Pinching constriction in mons veneris, vaginismus, contraction and tenderness of vagina. Burning and soreness in vagina. Desire diminished, cutting pain during coition. Menses scanty, gray mucus, with pain in kidneys and chilliness, pain down thighs. Leucorrhea, grayish mucus, with painful urinary symptoms. Neuralgia of ovaries and vagina.
Flat warts. Itching, burning and smarting; worse, scratching; better, cold applications. Small pustules over whole body. Eczema of anus and hands. Circumscribed pigmentation following eczematous inflammation.
Kreosotum
Corrosive itching within vulva, burning and swelling of labia; violent itching between labia and thighs. During menses, difficult hearing; buzzing and roaring; eruption after. Burning and soreness in external and internal parts. Leucorrhea, yellow, acrid; odor of green corn; worse between periods. Hemorrhage after coition. Menses too early, prolonged. Vomiting of pregnancy, with ptyalism. Menstrual flow intermits; ceases on sitting or walking; reappears on lying down. Pain worse after menses. Senile gangrene. Small wounds bleed freely. Pustules and herpes. Ecchymosis; dorsal surface of fingers and hands eczematous. 
Lyssinum
Uterine sensitiveness; conscious of womb (Helon). Feels prolapsed. Vagina sensitive, rendering coition painful. Uterine displacements.
Helonias Dioca
Dragging in sacral region, with prolapse, especially after a miscarriage. Pruritus vulvae. Backache after miscarriage. Weight and soreness in womb; conscious of womb. Menses too frequent, too profuse. Leucorrhea. Breasts swollen, nipples painful and tender. Parts hot, red, swollen; burn and itch terribly. Albuminuria during pregnancy. Debility attending the menopause.
Alumen
Tendency to induration of neck of uterus and mammary glands. Chronic yellow vaginal discharge. Chronic gonorrhea, yellow, with little lumps along urethra. Aphthous patches in vagina. Menses watery.
Skin ulcers, with indurated base. Epithelioma, etc; veins become varicose and bleed. Indurations resulting from long-continued inflammatory irritations. Glands inflame and harden. Alopecia, Scrotal eczema and on back of penis.
Carbo Animalis
Menses too early, frequent long lasting, followed by great exhaustion, so weak, can hardly speak, flow only in morning. Burning in vagina and labia. Darting in breast; painful indurations in breast, especially right. Cancer of uterus, burning pain down thighs.
Skin – Spongy ulcers, copper-colored eruption. Acne rosacea. Chilblains. Verruca on hands and face of old people, with bluish color of extremities. Glands indurated, swollen, painful, in neck, axillae, groin, mammae; pains lancinating, cutting, burning. Burning, rawness and fissures; moisture. Bubo.
Cocculus indicus
Dysmenorrhoea, with profuse dark menses. Too early menses, clotted, with spasmodic colic. Painful pressing in uterine region, followed by hemorrhoids. Purulent, gushing leucorrhea between menses; very weakening, can scarcely speak. So weak during menstruation, scarcely able to stand. 
Cimicifuga Racemose
Amenorrhea. Pain in ovarian region; shoots upward and down anterior surface of thighs. Pain immediately before menses. Menses profuse, dark, coagulated, offensive with backache, nervousness; always irregular. Ovarian neuralgia. Pain across pelvis, from hip to hip. After-pains, with great sensitiveness and intolerance to pain. Infra-mammary pains. Facial blemishes in young women.
Senecio Aureus
Menses retarded, suppressed. Functional amenorrhea of young girls with backache. Before menses, inflammatory conditions of throat, chest, and bladder. After menstruation commences, these improve. Anemic dysmenorrhea with urinary disturbances. Premature and too profuse menses
