Cuprum Metallicum

Face distorted, pale bluish, with blue lips. Contraction of jaws. Strong metallic, slimy taste, with flow of saliva. Jerking, twitching of muscles. Coldness of hands. Cramps in palms. Aceticum Acidum

Anemia, fatigue, dyspnea, weak heart, vomiting, profuse urination and sweat. Hemorrhage from any part. Pale, lean persons, with lax, flabby muscles. Epithelial cancer. Sycosis with nodules and formations in the joints. Hard chancre.

Face pale, waxen, emaciated. Eyes sunken, surrounded by dark rings. Bright red. Sweaty. Epithelioma of lip. Cheeks hot and flushed.

Epigastric tenderness. Burning pain as of an ulcer. Cancer of stomach. Hyperchlorhydria and gastralgia. Violent burning pain in stomach and chest, followed by coldness of skin and cold sweat on forehead. Breasts painfully enlarged, distended with milk – impoverished, bluish, transparent, sour.

Hoarse, hissing respiration; difficult breathing; cough when inhaling. Membranous croup. Irritation of trachea and bronchial tubes. False membrane in throat. Profuse bronchorrhea.

Skin pale, waxen, edematous, burning, dry, hot, or bathed in profuse sweat. Diminished sensibility of the surface of body.

Iodum

Iodine arouses the defensive apparatus of the system by assembling the mononuclear leucocytes.

Myocarditis, painful compression around heart. Palpitation from least exertion. Tachycardia. Joints inflamed and painful. White swelling. Rheumatism of nape and upper extremities. Rhus Toxicodendron

The effects on the skin, rheumatic pains, mucous membrane, fibrous tissue markedly-joints, tendons, sheaths-aponeurosis, etc – pains and stiffness. Septic conditions. Cellulitis and infections, carbuncles in early stages.

Alumen

Tendency to induration. Hardening of tissues of tongue, rectum, uterus, etc; ulcers with indurated base. Dryness and constriction. Mucous membrane red and swollen. Cough.

Hemoptysis, great weakness of chest. Ulcers, with indurated base. Indurations from long-continued inflammatory irritations. Glands inflamed and hardened. Alopecia. Scrotal and penile eczema. Weakness of all muscles. Constricted feeling around limbs.

Baryta Carbonicum

Diseases of degenerative changes – cardiac vascular and cerebral, hypertrophied prostate or indurated testes, coats of arteries, aneurism, senility, offensive foot-sweats, fatigue etc. Arterial fibrosis. Blood-vessels soften degenerate, distended, aneurisms, ruptures, and apoplexies.

Hardness of hearing. Crackling noise. Glands around ears painful and swollen. Dry; sneezing; coryza. Mouth filled with inflamed vesicles, foul taste. Paralysis of tongue. Smarting, burning pain in tip of tongue. Spasm of esophagus when food enters. Submaxillary glands and tonsils swollen. Gastric weakness in the aged. Colic. Enlarged mesenteric glands. Dry, suffocative cough. Chronic aphonia. Palpitation and distress in region of heart. Fatty tumors about neck.

Phytolacca Decandra

Aching, soreness, restlessness, prostration. Glandular swellings with heat and inflammation. Has a powerful effect on fibrous and osseous tissues; fasciae and muscle sheaths; acts on scar tissue. Syphilitic bone pains; chronic rheumatism. Sore throat, quinsy, and diphtheria. Tetanus and opisthotonos. Decrease of weight.

Tongue red tip rough and scalded; bleeding from mouth; blisters on side. Mapped, indented, fissured, with yellow patch down center. Much stringy saliva. Throat dark red or bluish red, pain at root of tongue; soft palate and tonsils swollen. Sensation of a lump in throat. Pseudo-membranous exudation, grayish white; thick, tenacious yellowish mucus. Uvula large, dropsical. Mumps. Follicular pharyngitis.

Rheumatism of abdominal muscles. Mastitis: breast hard and sensitive, tumors with enlarged axillary glands, purple hue and painful. Cancer of breast. Aphonia. Difficult breathing; dry hacking, tickling cough. Rheumatism of lower intercostals.

Antimonium Crudum

Rawness of palate, expectoration. Eczema. Thick yellowish mucus from posterior nares. Laryngitis. Gouty metastasis to stomach and bowels. Anal itching.  Mucous piles. Catarrhal proctitis. Stools composed entirely of mucus. Eruption on scrotum and about genitals. Impotence. Atrophy of penis and testicles.

Cough with burning sensation and itching of chest, oppression. Loss of voice, voice harsh and badly pitched.

Argentum Nitricum

In this drug the neurotic effects (many brain and spinal symptoms) are very marked. Incoordination, loss of control and balance (central and peripheral); trembling in extremities. Violent inflammation of the throat, and gastro-enteritis, splinter-like pains, and free muco-purulent discharge in the inflamed and ulcerated mucous membranes.

Face sunken, old, pale, and bluish. Old man’s look; tight drawing/hardening of skin over bones. Gums tender and bleed easily. Tongue has prominent papillae; tip is red and painful. Taste coppery. Thick mucus in throat and mouth. Dark redness of throat. Strangulated feeling.

Nausea, retching, vomiting of glairy mucus. Painful swelling of pit. Ulceration of stomach. Stool watery, noisy, flatulent; green, like chopped spinach, with shreddy mucus and enormous distention of abdomen; very offensive. Diarrhea immediately after eating or drinking.

Urine passes unconsciously, scanty and dark. Emission of a few drops after having finished. Divided stream. Hematuria. Impotence. Cancer-like ulcers.

Chronic hoarseness. Suffocative cough. Dyspnea. Palpitation, pulse irregular and intermittent. Angina pectoris, nightly aggravation. Paralysis, with mental and abdominal symptoms. Rigidity and debility of calves. Walks and stands unsteadily. Numbness of arms. Post-diphtheritic paralysis.

Skin brown, tense, and hard. Drawing in skin, as from a spider-web, or dried albuminous substance, withered and dried up. Irregular blotches.

Ipecacuanha

Blue rings around eyes. Periodical orbital neuralgia, with lachrymation. Constant nausea and vomiting, with pale, twitching of face. Vomits food, bile, blood, mucus. Stools pitch- green as grass, like frothy molasses, with griping at navel, dysenteric, slimy.

Dyspnea. Asthma. Cough incessant and violent, with every breath, suffocative, whooping-cough. Bleeding from lungs, with nausea; feeling of constriction. Croup. Complete aphonia.

Sleep with eyes half open. Shocks in all limbs on going to sleep. Body stretched stiff, followed by spasmodic jerking of arms towards each other. Skin pale, lax. Blue around eyes. Miliary rash.

Bryonia Alba

Aching in every muscle. Pain – stitching, tearing, worse by motion, better rest. Mucous membranes are all dry. Irritable; vertigo from raising the head, pressive headache; dry, parched lips, mouth; excessive thirst, bitter taste, sensitive epigastrium, and feeling of a stone in the stomach; stools large, dry, hard; dry cough; rheumatic pains and swellings; dropsical effusions into synovial and serous membranes. Leanness and irritability. Physical weakness, all-pervading apathy.

Vertigo, nausea, faintness on rising, confusion. Drawing in bones towards zygoma. Frontal headache, frontal sinuses involved. Frequent bleeding of nose relieving the headache. Coryza with shooting and aching in the forehead. Swelling of tip of nose. Aural vertigo. Roaring, buzzing.

Lips parched, dry, cracked, swollen, black. Dryness of mouth, tongue, and throat, with excessive thirst. Tongue coated yellowish, dark brown, heavily white in gastric derangement. Bitter taste. Burning in lower lip in old smokers.

Nausea and faintness when rising up. Abnormal hunger, loss of taste. Thirst for large draughts. Vomiting of bile and water immediately after eating. Liver swollen, sore, tensive. Burning pain, stitches; worse, pressure, coughing, breathing. Tenderness of abdominal walls. Constipation; stools hard, dry, brown, thick, bloody.

Urine: Red, brown, scanty, hot. Menses too early, profuse with tearing pains in legs. Stitching pains in ovaries; very sensitive to touch. Breasts hot and painful hard. Abscess of mammae.

Soreness in larynx and trachea. Hoarseness. Dry, hacking cough from irritation. Cough, dry with vomiting, chest, and expectoration of rust-colored sputa. Difficult, quick respiration. Croupous and pleuro-pneumonia. Expectoration brick shade, tough, and falls like lumps of jelly. Tough mucus in trachea, loosened only with much hawking. Coming into warm room excites cough (Nat carb). Stitches in cardiac region. Angina pectoris.

Stitches and stiffness in small of back. Knees stiff and painful. Hot swelling of feet. Joints red, swollen, hot, with stitches and tearing. Constant motion of arm and leg (Parkinson’s disease).

Skin yellow; pale, swollen, dropsical; hot and painful. Seborrhoea. Hair very greasy.

Sleep: Drowsy; starting when falling asleep. Delirium. Pulse full, hard, tense, and quick. Chill with external coldness, dry cough, stitches. Internal heat. Sour sweat after slight exertion. Easy, profuse perspiration. Rheumatic and typhoid.

Calcarea Carbonica

The glands, skin, and bones, being instrumental in the changes wrought. Hyperhidrosis, swelling of glands, scrofulous and rachitic conditions. Incipient phthisis. Tickling cough, fleeting chest pains, nausea, acidity and dislike of fat.

Easy relapses, interrupted convalescence. Headache, with cold hands and feet. Vertigo on ascending, and when turning head. Icy coldness in, and on the head. Sensitive to light. Lachrymation. Spots and ulcers on cornea. Easy fatigue of eyes. Far sighted. Itching of lids, swollen, scurfy. Cataract.

Throbbing; cracking in ears; stitches; pulsating pain as if something would press out. Deafness from working in water. Polypi which bleed easily. Scrofulous inflammation with muco-purulent otorrhea and enlarged glands. Perversions, hardness of hearing. Cracking noises in ear. Sensitive to cold about ears and neck.

Dry nostrils, sore, ulcerated. Offensive odor in nose. Polypi. Epistaxis. Coryza. Pale, with deep-seated eyes, surrounded by dark rings. Submaxillary glands swollen. Goiter. Itching of pimples in whiskers. Persistent sour taste. Burning pain at tip of tongue. Swelling of tonsils and submaxillary glands; stitches on swallowing. Difficult swallowing. Parotid fistula.

Craving for indigestible things-chalk, coal, pencils, eggs, salt and sweets. Ravenous hunger. Liver painful when stooping. Inguinal and mesenteric glands swollen and painful. Gall-stone colic. Crawling and constriction in rectum. Stool large and hard; whitish, watery, sour. Prolapse ani, and burning, stinging hemorrhoids. Diarrhea of undigested, food.

Urine dark, brown, sour, fetid, abundant, with white sediment, bloody. Irritable bladder. Enuresis. Hot swelling breasts. Breasts tender and swell before menses. Milk too abundant. Much sweat about external genitals. Sterility with copious menses. Uterine polypi.

Tickling cough. Bloody expectoration. Tachicardia at night and after eating, with feeling of coldness, with restless oppression of chest.

Rheumatism in lumbar region; weakness in small of back. Curvature of dorsal vertebrae. Nape of neck stiff and rigid. Renal colic. Cold knees cramps in calves. Sour foot-sweat. Weakness of extremities. Swelling of joints, especially knee. Burning of soles of feet. Sweat of hands. Arthritic nodes. Old sprains. Tearing in muscles.

Skin unhealthy; readily ulcerating; flaccid. Small wounds do not heal readily. Glands swollen. Nettle rash. Warts on face and hands. Petechial eruptions. Chilblains. Boils.

Causticum

Manifests its action mainly in chronic rheumatic, arthritic and paralytic affections, indicated by the tearing, drawing pains in the muscular and fibrous tissues, with deformities about the joints, progressive loss of muscular strength, tendinous contractures. Broken down senile. In catarrhal affections of the air passages and seems to choose preferably dark-complexioned and rigid-fibered persons. Restlessness at night, with tearing pains in joints and bones, and faint-like sinking of strength. This weakness progresses until gradually appearing paralysis. Local paralysis, vocal cords, muscles of deglutition, of tongue, eyelids, face, bladder and extremities. Skin dirty white sallow, with warts, especially on the face. Pain in facial bones. Dental fistula. Pain in jaws, with difficulty in opening mouth. Paralysis of tongue, with indistinct speech. Rheumatism of articulation of lower jaw. Partial paralysis of rectum. Rectum sore and burns. Fistula and large piles.

Urine involuntary when coughing, sneezing, expelled very slowly, and sometimes retained; involuntary during first sleep at night also, from slightest excitement.

Hoarseness with pain in chest; aphonia. Larynx sore. Voice re-echoes. Own voice roars in ears and distresses. Stiffness between shoulders. Dull pain in nape of neck. Sciatica. Dull, tearing pain in hands and arms. Heaviness and weakness. Tearing joints. Unsteadiness of muscles of forearm and hand. Numbness; loss of sensation in hands. Contracted tendons. Weak ankles. Soreness in folds of skin, back of ears, between thighs. Warts large, jagged, bleeding easily, on tips of fingers and nose. Cicatrices freshen up; old injuries reopen. Skin prone to intertrigo.

Sepia Officinalis

Acts specially on the portal system, with venous congestion. Weakness, yellow complexion. Pains extend down to back, chills easily. Tendency to abortion. Hot flashes at menopause with weakness and perspiration. Upward tendency of its symptoms. Easy fainting. “Ball” sensation in inner parts. Sepia acts best on brunettes. All pains are from below up. One of the most important uterine remedies. Tubercular patients with chronic hepatic troubles and uterine reflexes. Feels cold even in warm room. Pulsating headache in cerebellum.

Pimples on forehead near hair. Thick, greenish discharge; thick plugs and crusts. Yellowish saddle across nose. Muscular asthenopia and black spots in the field of vision; asthenic inflammations. Tarsal tumors. Ptosis, ciliary irritation. Venous congestion of the fundus. Herpes behind ears on nape of neck. Pain as if from sub-cutaneous ulceration. Swelling and eruption of external ear. Rosacea; saddle-like brownish distribution on nose and cheeks. Tongue white. Taste salty, putrid. Tongue foul.

Nausea at smell or sight of food. Liver sore and painful. Many brown spots on abdomen. Bleeding at stool and fullness of rectum. Constipation. Red, adhesive, sand in urine. Involuntary urination, during first sleep. Chronic cystitis, slow micturition, with bearing-down sensation above pubis.

Male organs cold. Offensive perspiration. Gleet. Condyloma surround head of penis. Dry, fatiguing cough. Dyspnea. Hypostatic pleuritis. Whooping-cough. Violent, intermittent palpitation. Beating in all arteries. Tremulous feeling with flushes. Weakness in small of back. Pains and coldness between shoulders.

Lower extremities lame and stiff, tension, heaviness and bruised, restlessness, twitching and jerking. Pain in heel. Coldness of legs and feet. Frequent flushes of heat; sweat from least motion. Shivering, with thirst. Herpes circinate. Itching; not relieved by scratching. Chloasma; herpetic eruption on lips, about mouth and nose. Ringworm-like eruption every spring. Urticaria. Ichthyosis with offensive odor of skin.

Croton Tiglum

Irritation and inflammation, with formation of vesicles and mucous discharges. Burning in the esophagus. Granular lids; pustules of cornea. Copious watery stools, with much urging; always forcibly shot out, with gurgling in intestines. Swashing sensation in intestines.

Night urine foaming; dark orange color; turbid on standing; greasy particles floating on top. Day urine is pale, with white sediment.

Drawing-pain through the left chest into the back. Asthma. Skin feels hide-bound. Intense itching: but scratching is painful. Pustular eruption on face and genitals, with fearful itching, followed by painful burning. Vesicular erysipelas, itching exceedingly. Herpes zoster; stinging, smarting pains of the eruption.

Grephites

Rheumatic pains, extending to teeth and neck. Burning on vertex. Humid, itching eruption on hairy scalp, emitting a fetid odor. Cataleptic condition.

Eyes: Ophthalmia, with intolerance of artificial light. Eyelids red and swollen. Blepharitis. Dryness of the lids. Eczema of lids; fissured. Dryness of inner ear. Cracking in ears when eating. Hardness of hearing. Hissing in the ears. Detonation in ear like report of a gun. Thin, white, scaly membrane covering membrane tympani, like exfoliated epithelium. Fissures in and behind the ear.

Nose: Sore on blowing it – painful internally. Smell abnormally acute; cannot tolerate flowers. Scabs and fissures in nostrils. Eczema. Itching pimples. Breath smells like urine. Burning blisters on tongue, salivation. Sour eructation. Sweets nauseate. Nausea and vomiting after each meal. Morning sickness. Recurrent gastralgia. Flatulence. Chronic diarrhea, stools brownish, liquid, undigested, offensive. Very fetid gas preceded by colic.

Burning hemorrhoids. Prolapse, diarrhea; stools of brown fluid, mixed with undigested substance, very fetid, sour odor. Smarting, sore anus, itching. Lump stool, conjoined with threads of mucus. Varices of the rectum. Anal fissure.

Urine turbid, with sediment. Sour smelling. Breast swollen and hard. Induration of ovaries and uterus and mammae. Sexual debility (men). Herpetic eruption on organs.

Spasmodic asthma, suffocative attacks. Chronic hoarseness. Pain in nape of neck, shoulders and back and limbs. Spinal pains. Pain in small of back with great weakness. Excoriation between thighs. Petrolium

Acting on sweat and oil glands. Moist eruption on scalp, sore to touch, followed by numbness. Canthi fissured. Skin around eyes dry and scurfy. Eczema. Fissures in meatus. Dry catarrh, with deafness and noises. Ringing and cracking in ears. Chronic Eustachian catarrh. Diminished hearing.

Nausea, with accumulation of water in mouth. Gastralgia when stomach is empty. Ravenous hunger. Must rise at night and eat. Herpetic eruption on perineum. Prostate inflamed and swollen. Itching in urethra.

Burning in back; pain, heat between the shoulder-blades. Weak spine. Ascending sensory and motor paralysis from ends of fingers and toes. Stitches in elbow and shoulder joints. Burning of feet. Ranunculus Bulbosus

Dry, teasing cough. Influenza. Hoarseness. Cardiac hypertrophy. Pulse quick, weak, irregular, intermittent, with numbness of arm. Trembling and palpitation when sitting still. Pain between shoulders on swallowing. Rheumatic pain and stiffness in small of back, in nape of the neck, all joints. Hot, painful swelling of joints. Pains tearing in tendons, ligaments, and fasciae. Soreness of condyles of bones. Limbs stiff paralyzed. Pain along ulnar nerve. Tearing down thighs. Sciatica. Numbness and formication.

Paralysis; trembling after exertion. Tenderness about knee joint. Loss of power in forearm and fingers; crawling sensation in the tips of fingers. Tingling in feet. Skin red, swollen; itching intense. Vesicles, herpes; urticaria; pemphigus; erysipelas; vesicular suppurative forms. Glands swollen. Cellulitis. Burning eczematous eruptions with tendency to scale formation.

Sarsaparilla officinalis

Renal colic; marasmus and periosteal pains. Eruptions following hot weather and vaccinations; boils, and eczema. Influenza. Eruptions on face and upper lip. Moist eruption on scalp. Tongue white; aphthae; salivation; metallic taste; fetid breath.

Abdomen – Rumbling and fermentation. Colic and backache at same time. Flatulence. Urine scanty, slimy, flaky, sandy, hematuria. Gravel. Renal colic. Intolerable stench on genitals. Herpetic eruption on genitals. Itching on scrotum and perineum. Syphilis; squamous eruption and bone pains.

Stillingia Salvatica

Chronic periosteal rheumatism, syphilitic and scrofulous affections. Torpor of lymphatics; torpid liver, with jaundice and constipation. Dry, spasmodic cough. Larynx constricted, with stinging in faucets. Trachea sore, hoarseness and chronic laryngeal affections.

Urine colorless. Deposits white sediment; urine milky and thick. Aching pains in bones of extremities and back.

Sulphur

Ganglion.

Anemia, emaciation, muscular weakness, sweating, headache, nervous tremor of face and limbs, tingling sensations, paralysis. Scleroderma. Heart rate increased, exophthalmos and dilation of pupils. In myxedema and cretinism its effects are striking. Rheumatoid arthritis. Infantile wasting. Rickets. Delayed union of fractures. Undescended testicle.
